+356 It's so stupid when parents give their kids common names with abnormal spellings because they have to spell their name every time someone asks..."Yea, that's Brian spelled B-R-I-Y-E-N" amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or, conversely, B-r-i-v-o-l-b-n- the number 7 - the letter Q!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Brian Regan): BRIAN REGANNNN <3 He's the best freaking person in the world .

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's Bryen with a y! WHY!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wouldn't Brian with a y be spelled like "Bryan"?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yep

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Carmela. Everyone thinks it's spelled weird. No. It's spelled just as it sounds you dumbass.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yea, there's this kid in my grade, his name is Brian, spelled Brihian, so when people first read his name they say "Bra-hah-yan"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Brahian* I just checked on Facebook, haha, I knew it didn't look quite right.

I hate it. No one has ever spelled my name correctly. My name sounds like "Marissa", yet it's spelled M-A-R-Y-S-A. When people ask me how to spell my name, I just say "Mary and then S-A".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My name is Ricky, spelled R-Y-K-I. My kid's name is Bryan, though. Named after my cousin, who is amazing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not as unusual as some others, but my name is Breanna instead of Brianna.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Really? Same here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I understand putting a y instead of an i or a E instead of an i, just not too crazy, like Lisa, spelled Lahease4h. or something..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Christopher here (correct spelling too), some people write it as Kristopher, Christoffer or Kristoffer

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"I'm going to make spelling this guy's name intentionally harder for me, knowing that I'll have to go back and change it because I'm a dumbass."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Especially when they're teacher and they have the list of names in front of them

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People ask me how to spell Harper. First I give them the "You-total-dumbass" look then I either say "H-A-R-P-Q-R-V-A-L-R" or "I-A-M-A-D-U-M-B-A-S-S" This method also teaches you who the total morons are because some people fall for it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Meagan instead of Megan. It sucks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate it when people spell Megan as Meagan/Meghan/Meaghan. Like, really?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Meghan is actually common. I've known more people who spell it like that than Megan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Really? Weird... I mean, there are 2983752 Megan/Meghan/Meaghan/Meagans in my school (estimated guess on the number), so I can't really say which way is more common.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how about... "my last name is chase" "yes, and how do you spell that miss?" "c-h-a-s-e?" "oh so the normal way" [to myself] is there any other way to spell chase?

My friend's name is pronounced Eliza, but it's spelled Ellysa. Kinda makes you think her parents were on crack when they named her.
