If the bombs hadn't been dropped the war would have continued and more lives would have been lost.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

as much as I hate the idea of the bombs being dropped, you're right. the US soldiers were preparing to raid Japan, where undoubtedly, more lives would be lost.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Whoever said that is sick. We got our payback and nearly everyone that hated us in WWII isn't around anymore.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

According to the Theory of Common Sense that is not possible!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People are stupid enough to think that?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No way America is Gods' blessed country, He would never do anything to harm us.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Please stop making Americans look bad.

There was a nuclear reactor that failed in Japan because of the tsunami. The way the winds blow, it's gonna hit the west coast. It probably won't be hard but we're gonna get a bit irradiated.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Didn't it already hit the west coast? California wasn't hit as badly as people thought, and Oregon got hit worse.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well then. I thought it was going to take like 10 days to hit us.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, it did. A lot of harbors (Santa Cruz's especially) got pretty wrecked.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh no, Oregon D:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There too :( But comparing the damage to Japan, it's practically nothing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

fortunately. they need all the help they can get, with an earthquake AND a tsunami.. so many natural disasters have been happening, though. Haiti, new Zealand, and now japan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And then a possible nuclear crisis! I would say "Can it get any worse?" but then I feel like I'd be jinxing it somehow..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

there also is a vulcano irruption now

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think Santa Cruz was that bad. I live near there. It's actually kind of funny (in a weird way) there was such a traffic jam of people trying to get away from the coast, but there were just as many people trying to get in to watch the waves.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, really? The pictures made it look like there was a lot of damage done

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Probably, I haven't seen any of the more private places or anything like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, it was like a 3 feet tsnuami that hit san francisco

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well their karma WAS when we dropped the bomb on them. they did it to us, we did it to them.

Not only pearl harbour, do you know what they did to china?! They wanted more land, so they literally took people, shoved them in a hole, and just shot them being chinese, it pisses me off. They killed many of my relatives i feel no sympathy torwards them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

youre an idiot

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well it's true that the japanese did do some cruel and sadistic acts to chinese, which is why there is still a lot of resentment of the chinese to the japanese (I'm chinese) search up rape of nanking. The japanese became savages -headhunting compeititons -forced incest -rape in braod daylight -killing all of prisoner's of wars -LOTS of sadistic rape etc... but then again, most of the japs that did that are prob dead or about to die, the current Japan isn't like that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes im aware of that. but thats no reason to blame it on the whole japanese race. especially since there were infants and children that died.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

search up rape of nanking, way worse but yeah, that was the past and it isn't good to dwell in the past. Forgiveness is not for the other person, it is for yourself...etc... and i saw the destruction of japan D: just...sad... and it's not a third world country either, it is one of the dominant powers or rather..was? It's cool seeing how people of different cultures and religions are helping out another in times of need....this makes you wonder if humans are really as evil as everyone makes us out to be.
