The fact that he murdered him isn't but if he feels sorry then he's a lot better of a person.

True, but you should take into account that this person did commit murder/rape. Saying sorry doesn't always make it ok. I think it should be a combination of both- what they've done, and how they feel about it.

Right. That man that murdered 15 people isn't bad at all. He felt sorry afterwards so it doesn't matter what he did.
