i agree with this post! like what is wrong with people these days. i hate when people joke about this in my class because like its not a joke. i dont understand the humor in this at all like so many kids over in Japan like little kids lost their entire family to this and they have to live with that. those american pricks need to put themselves in their shoes and see how they feel having something/someone suddenly taken away from them. yeah its not all that funny.
Not to mention that the people who died or were injured recently in Japan had absolutely nothing and most, if not all of them were either very young or weren't even alive when that happened.
Grow a brain, moran! Japan attacked us out of nowhere, unprovoked. We used those bombs to prevent the killing of millions of our soldiers. And, yes, we should value our citizens more than the enemy's. I'm not saying they did deserve it, but you obviously don't understand WWII.
Yes, please try to justify the murder of up to 246,000 people and thousands more whose lives were ruined by the untold destruction the bombings caused.
And it's moron*, moron.
Ah, you obviously didn't get the meme: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/get-a-brain-morans
And yes, it was necessary. I will justify it, it was a needed sacrifice to save the lives of OUR people. In case don't know that the Japanese had this sort of "Honor Code" thing. I know, totally wacko, but they WOULD NOT surrender, EVER! The war would have gone on for many more years had we not nuked them.
I think you're confusing all of Japan with some random Japanese military official who though it would be a good idea. Why would you hold all of Japan responsible for something a few dead Japanese guys did a long time ago?
Read my reply to anon, it was a needed sacrifice.
Read my post again. It wasn't saying the US should not have used atomic weapons on Japan. I'm saying the the entire country of Japan did not attack us. It was a couple of people in planes not the whole country so it's ridiculous to say that it was the fault of all the Japanese people. The attack was provoked somewhat. It's not like the US was sitting around twiddling it's thumbs not supplying weapons to anybody.
That's not our problem. The war would have continued for many more years, causing even more deaths had we not bombed them.
Needed sacrifice? Bullshit.
No life is worth sacrificing, especially not for the sake of a feud between two governments. Thousands of innocent people dying, a needed sacrifice? Please.
As I said before, millions more of OUR troops would have died had we not bombed them.
