Not all of them do, but you do want to buy from the ones who look like they have skill in application. Like in hair salons, I usually go for the ones who have the wildest hair, because they know what they're doing.

The people at hair salons usually don't cut their own hair though, someone else does it for them. If you're talking about styling hair, that's different, I guess. But I really wouldn't know much about hair salons, my mom had always cut my hair.
