+300 If you're old enough to vote, but you choose not to, you have no right to complain about the gov't, amirite?

Hm, this is strangely familiar to an amirite that I posted months ago. Odd.

This makes sense, but also there's a lot of things in the government that you can't change with a simple vote. For example, intervening in Libya..

When you find me a large enough group of politicians to have some decent pull in the government that will actually look out for the best interest of the people, instead of their own pockets, then we'll talk. Til then, look at your choices on the current ballots and tell me exactly how much putting a new person even in every single office up for vote will change the status quo. Don't get brainwashed by simple phrases like "Don't vote? Don't complain" Instead, use your brain.

If you're old enough to spell words completely, and you don't, you have no right to stand on a soap box and order others around.
