People shouldn't say negative things about a religion they don't fully understand, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
People shouldn't try to talk about their own religion if they don't understand it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is exactly how I feel about most people who call themselves Christians these days.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I just generally feel that all Christians don't know what they're talking about.

Me too, some people are just doing it because everyone else is. If someone goes to church twice a year and then spends the rest of his/her time doing whatever he/she wants to do, he/she is not a true Christian...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Or if someone claims that they are a christian just because they try to brag about it constantly or feel a need to update their stati on facebook with some bible quote...

"Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you a car."
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think that anyone who wants to identify with a certain religion has the right to do so. Christianity isn't reserved to only the "best Christians."
by Anonymous12 years ago
are u implying the poster doesn't understand their own religion?
by Anonymous12 years ago
No. But I am going to suggest that you use proper grammar. Such as capitalizing "are" and spelling out "you".

This kid at my school downloaded a twisted version the koran (I don't know if that's spelled correctly) that promotes genocide so he can prove that Muslims are all bad, but he won't listen when we try to explain to him the difference between the real koran and the ones that extremists use to make themselves feel better about murder.

What. A. Douche.

Well I'm sorry, but if I hear about a religion and the only thing I know about it is that they kill babies for fun, I'm going to think pretty negatively about them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
There's a difference between thinking negatively and spreading negative things that might not even be true. And seeing as the world has Google now, there's nothing wrong with expanding your knowledge so that you know more than "they kill babies for fun" - which will probably never be true because no religion, especially the three main ones, says that at all.

by Anonymous12 years ago
Idk I gues all has to do with polarity and stuff
by Anonymous12 years ago
but unless you are a theologian or something, can you really say you fully understand a certain religion? isn't there a lot of mystery and room for interpretation in most religions?
