"I'm such a bad test taker!" "No, you're not, you're just stupid.", amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
but there actually are some bad test takers. most of them are just stupid, though :P

I want to say this every time someone says they're a bad test taker haha.

Meh.
My little sister has a pretty far above average IQ for her age and I've always considered her pretty intelligent.
However, she always seems to fuck up on tests. Turns out she has a learning disability (similar to dyslexia, except you mix up sequences).
So think before you say that to someone. :/

You shouldn't use the word "think" like that. My 3rd cousin's father's best friend's accountant's sister is in a coma.
So think before you say that to someone :/

Your reply could be potentially humorous if my original comment was far off the subject or I was being incredibly too sensitive (which I did neither of those). Nice try, though.

You were being oversensitive. Anyone who expects everyone else to consider every possible option before they speak is oversensitive. You can't say "nice shirt" because some children don't have shirts. If everyone tried to not offend EVERYONE with their words than nothing would ever be said because it is inevitable that your words will offend someone. Nice try, though.
Oh, and you shouldn't use the word "potentially" like that. My tortoise is on the ground and therefore has no potential energy. Some things can't help it if they only have kinetic energy.
So think before you use words like that :/

Okay, I disagree.
If I had said something more along the lines of "RAAAAAGEEEEEEEEEE!!1!!1! THIS POST OFFENDS ME GREATLY IM GONNA GO SHIT MY PANTS NOW", I could understand you saying I was being oversensitive.
And yes, I know what a joke is.

I get A's for all my subjects in the first and third terms when there aren't any exams, but as soon as I write mid and end year exams my marks drop straight to B's and C's. I'm good at projects and essays and practicals, but I suck at formal tests.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh really? You're not stupid, you just completely fail the part where we find out what you KNOW?
I don't know the exact quote but I love Daniel Tosh. :)

:D!!!!! lol yeah he was just to awesome not to quote.

I can relate. See I'm a brilliant painter, except when comes to my god awful brush stroke. As soon as paint hits canvas I develop parkinsons
by Anonymous13 years ago
No offense to any Parkinson's painters here. I'm sure you're really good, but only in the morning.

Daniel is awesome

I give you two, five awesome points as the others above you just lost it completely.

Being a good student but a bad test taker proves that you haven't actually learned all that much, in my opinion. Being tested is to evaluate on what information you have learned, meaning, retained. Not memorized. Sure, anyone can regurgiate information easily on homework or in class, but when being tested individually on what you know, that is testing what you've learned, not how great/obedient of a student you are.
