Religion is not only made for prayer. A true religion will encourage its followers to work. Prayer is essential to thank the only one who created us along with the materials that you made the light bulb from. There are thousands of scientists who made discoveries and follow a religion. Galileo, Pascal, Newton, Einstein, Mohammed ibn Mu-sa al-Khowarizmi(whose name inspired the word Algorithm and the founder of algebra), Ibn-Sina( scientist, philosopher, and logician who wrote almost 200 works.) and thousands of doctors who study DNA are only a very small sample of people who believe in God and contributed to humanity.
