I don't know why I'm doing this prom thing. It's completely annoying and expensive. amirite?

I skipped mine, I took an extra shift at work. And it was a shame because once I took I was asked out not once but twice.

Well, my boyfriend is making me. He thinks I'll regret it if I don't go at least once. Which is stupid, I hate dresses and none of my friends are going.

Tell him that you are planning on being sick that day.

Man... I've tried every trick in the book. Nothing works. He even got my mom in on it and she bought my dress.

arn't you supposed to buy your own dress?
Have you tried a little trick called THE TRUTH? it must not be in the book.

The truth is that I just don't want to go. I told everyone that. But I persuaded them to let me only stay an hour.
You're SUPPOSED to buy your own dress, but I refused.

Including your boyfriend and your mother?
If all else fails, fake a panic attack over being too fat. Say that the dress was tighter then when you tried it on and refuse to go.
If you are good enough at acting irrational you just may get your own way.

I skipped mine and I don't regret it.

bad idea, i bought my dress a size too big so i can eat before hand. I'll just deal with it. It's only an hour and i have an excuse to get my nails done.

Why can't prom be in t-shirts and jeans...? Tho I do like wearing a tux...:) But I couldn't care less, girls are beautiful in dresses and in t-shirts.

I agree with Kevlar. Prom would be so much better in jeans.
