It starts with Monday, simple as that. For some reason it starts on a Sunday in Israel though.

It starts with Monday because the seventh day is honoured as Sabbath in Christianity, the day people go to church, which is Sunday.

As far as I'm concerned it starts on Monday. That's when my "job" (school) starts, so that's when I consider my week to. Learning the days of the week in French through a song that started with Lundi and ended with Dimanche reinforced that order into my then 9 year old brain. :P
