+398 People with Downe syndrome are never mean to anybody. The only feelings they have are friendship and sadness. A persons with Downe Syndrome will love you no matter what. And yet there are still those people who make fun of them because they are retarded. What kind of loser can't think of anything better to do than to pick on somebody who is always nice to others, amirite?

We all know this. Thanks for the lecture though.

They're not nice, they're just too stupid to be mean.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You can't be too stupid to be mean... it's something that's innate. And I hear there are plenty of mean people with down syndrome.

It's kind of hard not to be mean to them when you have a short temper for them. Especially for this one girl in my school. She's in grade six and still brings barbies to school. That's fine. But, it's not fine that she goes around telling people that he's going to beat you with it, then chases you. And if you tell her to stop, she goes into a huge crying tantrum until the teacher comes. I have to leave every time she comes near me or else I WILL flip out on her.

I let a downy kid beat me in arm wrestling for two weeks, then he started pushing me around... So I had to lay the law down and crush him in arm wrestling. Problem solved.

You Sir, are awesome!

One of my best friend's older sister has Down syndrome. She isn't always nice. I try to treat her as normally as possible without hurting her in any way.

I think a lot of times when they seem mean, it's more like they can't understand other people's perspectives, so they don't intend to be mean, but just come off that way. Same thing with kids with aspergers.

I bet the OP is a retarded or has a retard family member/friend

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually, OP has a Downs uncle and a Downs cousin. I also think OP wants you to not be a jerk.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well what is the OP going to do about it? Count to potato?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1, 2, potato

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just go play outside

by Anonymous 12 years ago

....Did anyone else think that OP was talking about a dog? That's more insulting that calling them a Retard, methinks.

Some people with down syndrome use their disabilities to get away with things. That is not okay.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In 5th grade there was a girl wit DS and she used to bite anybody she didn't like. She also pinched, kicked and a bunch of other things. To people she liked, she'd try to kiss them. Boy or girl, didn't matter. AND she knew better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A disability doesn't change your ability to be mean.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Since when is there an 'e' on 'downs syndrome'?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How pathetic does your life have to be to where you have to resort to making for of mentally challenged people to have a good laugh. I don't make jokes about them and I still manage to laugh a lot.

No offence, I realize that OP has family members with down syndrome...but by saying that they only feel friendship and sadness is kind of degrading in my opinion. Human beings feel anger and hatred and jealousy and all those other negative emotions...its a part of life and a part of being human....so even people with down syndrome feel those things. Plus, you said a person with down syndrome will love you no matter what....I really doubt anyone, down syndrome or not, would love someone who bullied them or beat them up or abused them or something like that. Get a grip on reality, please.

what the fuck, of course they can be mean, they're "just like everybody else"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i love this post. so much. thank you. my sister has down syndrome and it really makes me mad that people pick on her just because of her disability without even knowing her as a person.
