+354 You find it weird that some vegans and vegetarians are okay with using leather purses and jackets, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm a vegan and we're not. That's just some vegetarians.

I know a vegan that uses real leather :p

@1196236 (Hpisfrickingawesome): A vegan who uses real leather is, per definition, not a vegan.

You can speak for every, single vegan in the world? Do you know each of them?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

@1196234 (Anonymous): Note the use of the word "some"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was talking about Anon's comment on how "we're" okay with using leather, like they know each vegan :P

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm vegetarian and we don't use any leather or silk or fur.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

All vegans are pussies

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yeah, some vegans and vegetarians just eat that way for their body rather than for their beliefs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A majority of vegans though do try to avoid animal products in general though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It bugs me when vegans do it, since vegans aren't supposed to use any animal products whatsoever. But as a vegetarian, I only buy products with leather if it's absolutely necessary. If I'm not going to eat the cow, why should I should I use their freaking skin?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not a vegetarian, or a vegan, so I can't speak for them, but I find vegans and vegetarians using leather to be hypocritical. You don't eat meat because it kills animals, yet you kill an animal for a nice leather purse?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Leather is a by-product of the meat industry, so making leather doesn't kill animals.
