+328 When you were younger, say 5 or 6, the idea that your parents had once been your age/size was absolutely mind boggling, amirite?

I'd always try to picture my parents as kids, but the best younger me could do was a baby's body in black and white with my parent's heads on them.

I also just couldn't understand how even though my dad was taller than my grandfather, my grandfather was older hehe

Haha, that reminds me of how I thought however old you were was how tall you were. It made sense because I was 4 and around 4 feet tall, so I didn't understand how my dad was 42 and only 5'11 :P

You were four feet tall when you were four years old? That's a tall four year old!

Yeah, then I pretty much stopped growing around 4th grade and now I'm just average.

It didn't register in my brain until I was closer to 8. My parents didn't celebrate their birthdays, only us kids'; I am also the youngest out of all my siblings and cousins, and didn't know any pregnant women. So, I never questioned adults being kids once, they were just there... My sheltered world fell apart when I heard about sex from my best friend when I was in 3rd grade.
