+870 Don't you hate it when people try to tell you about yourself? Ex: "Your hair is black." "No it's dark brown." "No, it's black." "It's my hair! I think I know what color it is!", amirite?

Happened to me a lot, before the people i hung out with fixed their eyesight

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Someone tried to tell me what my favourite colour was once. Smh.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think my hair's dark brown, but people aways try to tell me it's black. But...idk. I'm so confused I just don't know what color my hair is anymore.....dark brown?

Cool story, Bro.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Put it in the light, if it's dark brown- it'll show. I have dark brown hair, but whenever im in sunlight it shows as brown. So people assume i dyed my hair or something.

No, that's not one of the things your personality or history has any affect upon, that's how it looks like and anyone with eyesight has the same rights as any to say what they see. They see your hair is black. Anyway, ANY very dark colour looks black, so does it really matter? We're not debating what it scientifically is, we're only speaking of what it looks like.

But I've seen my hair in every light I've ever been in.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, sure, maybe if the person's only seen your hair in one bad lighting he might not know for sure if it's very very dark brown or simply black, but that's what you need to tell them instead of "Dude no you're wrong it's brown." Just tell them it's brown in better lighting and that's all, otherwise it just sounds like you're arguing what it looks like at that very moment of the argument.

*chuckles* I used to do that with my sister. Her her is dark brown but looks black, so when I was little I'd say it's black just to annoy her.

My cousin argued with me that my birthday was wrong. She was like "no, it's February 28th!" And I was like "I'm pretty sure it's the 24th." Then she asked my mom, and when my mom said it was the 24th, she was like "no, you remember wrong!!" un

This extremely stupid girl I know said "OMG YOUR HAIR IS BLACK INSIDE. BUT WHEN YOU GO OUTSIDE, IT TURNS TO BROWN." Idiot.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, but sometimes people have wishful thinking. I've seen people insist that their eyes are "forest green" when they are absolutely brown.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My friend ALWAYS tries to tell me stuff about myself and when i correct her she insists i'm wrong...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This bitch in like 3rd grade tried to tell me that my eyes were brown not green. Sorry honey but I know what color my own fucking eyes are.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've had that same exact conversation with several people many times.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

*colour

by Anonymous 12 years ago

this exact same example happens to me all the time! and once my cousin was trying to tell me that my hair used to be straight, my hair was curly my whole life, what a dumbass -_-

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wish I could vote yes more than once, I've been Insisting that my hair is clearly brown for like a year but everyone keeps telling me I'm a blonde. I'll admit that like 25% of it is sun bleached but it's mostly brown.

An annoying girl at my school cornered me in the bathroom to tell me that there's no such thing as food allergies, I'm not really allergic to peanuts, and she knows I'm just faking it for the attention. I must be a REALLY good actress if I can make my lips swell up on command like that!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

THIS IS EXACTLY ME AND ANOTHER PERSON! everyone thinks my hair is black. ITS DARK BROWN, STUPID PEOPLE. wow. that felt good to type. hahah.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i've had people tell me i'm misspelling my name and im like "Bitch please! who here's been writing this name on her papers since preschool?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This suit is NOT black...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

this is like an everyday occurrence for me

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But it's equally annoying when your friends try to bullshit stuff about themselves that clearly arent true. For example, my friend once said his eyes turn black. Yeah, that's not possible.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

WOW, I hear this wayyyyy to much and it pisses me off when I try to show people in the light and they still don't get it ):<
