+212 It's sad when young people pass away because of drugs or alcohol, because it kind of feels like it wasn't really their time to go, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When some dies from alcohol/drugs it's never sad because it's self inflicted.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wait until it happens to someone you know, prick.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Luckily the people I choose to surround myself with arent a bunch of idiots who pump the body full of crap. No one forces these people to take drugs or alcohol, the only tragedy is that they dont go sooner.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ok, think about this. A teenager runs away from home because she's being abused. She meets what seems like a nice guy who wants to take care of her (and she accepts because she's starving and lost and needs help) and he turns out to be a pimp. The pimp gets her to smoke some weed and she feels obligated since he saved her ilfe. Turns out that weed also contains cocaine and/or heroin. In order for her to keep living, she ends up hooked on drugs and eventually becomes a prostitute working for the man who "saved" her. This happens every day and yes, it IS sad.

The post said "because of drugs or alcohol". What your saying is not because of those things.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But if one of those girls over dosed and died, you would say it was because of drugs. People get involved with drugs for SO many different reasons. Force, believing that there is no way out, mental illness, and more. It IS sad because even kids that start off "for fun" are really just doing it to kill how they feel. Drugs are a huge issue and it is not simply "idiots" who make a stupid choice.

For one, all three friends I've lost were of age. Drinking is not a bad thing when used legally, but things happen. Are you going to tell me that this same thing for those who commit suicide?? That would be even.more their own fault because they had the.INTENTION. But people still.have compassion for them. And also, I'd just like to say, don't ever show so much insensitivity off the.internet where you can hide behind a username, because if someone were to say these things infront of me, knowing, I'd beat the fucking piss out of them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I like the way you decide to solve things is by using voilence. You chose to make this post on this site. I chose to express my opinion. If this was a sensitive subject for you then perhaps you would have been better off posting it to some kind of charity website where someone can lets say be more sensitive. Thats the thing with the internet sometimes you encounter nice people and other times you encounter assholes.Unfortunately for you, this time it was the latter.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

a charity website?? You really are just a stupid prick. State your opinion and say that it was their fault, you don't think it is sad. THAT is fine. However, "the only tragedy is that they don't go sooner" crossed the line. That was just an unnecessary asshole remark, otherwise, if you REALLY believed that, you'd basically be saying that your mom, dad, grandparents, teachers, friends etc who EVER touched alcohol should die.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

no, your the stupid prick for expecting to get sympathy or understanding from a website that people come to have a laugh. There is no line to be crossed. It's called free speech and whether or not I believe they should die is irrelevant.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

uhm its completely relevant to the conversation?? I'm not expecting sympathy Im just disgusted by people like you who think its ok to be a complete asshole over the internet because your screen name is anon. Grow up, just because you can be an asshole over the internet doesn't mean you have to or should.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's irrelevant as death is inevitable. Well you got a home page post out of their misery so I guess that's something you can be very proud of doing. By the way you are doing a great job of being an asshole yourself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

the point of this post was its sad because it doesn't seem like it should've been their time to go, because it could have been avoided. Yeah, death us inevitable, so what? You didn't need to come here being an asshole about it. "You got a homepage out of their misery"?? That is fucking disgusting. If that's how you think people work in their heads, you need to rethink things yourself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'd like to say, this post has stories behind it, and seeing what some assholes have the nerve to say, I am sick. I don't think anyone could show such a disgusting lack of compassion in person. Obviously they've never lost young friends. No one deserves to go sooner because they drink, legally at that. Mistakes happen, things happen that shouldn't and it can happen to anyone, even those who dont drink excessively, one is all it takes. Anyway. Please don't waste time commenting something so rude and disgusting, my wounds are still fresh and i am done replying to insensitive bastards.

I personally have known a few people who have diedthis way (no friends though). Honestly when it happens I don't care. Why should I express sorrow or grief for someone I don't know. They died of their own stupidity and honestly most people who follow that lifestyle will never amount to anything and only pollute our society with their ignorance. I can understand if it is a friend or family, but for just some random person the world may very well just be better of without them in it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think people on.here don't understand that just because someone drinks does not make them bad. Shane was in his way up in the army, and kaine was working hard in the oil rigs. They did not 'pollute' society.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

musicians who die of drugs/alcohol related deaths really don't pollute society and it is sad because they no longer will make music(jimi hendrix, Kurt cobain and john bonham) just some examples

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It sucks when anyone dies young, but I'm not as sympathetic when it's because of drugs and alcohol. I personally do not drink or do drugs because the consequences far out number the benefits of either, so people should be fully aware of all possible outcomes in everything they do. It's tragic that they died, but it could have been avoided if they tried hard enough.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Now this I can agree with.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

when most people die it feels like it isn't their time to go it doesn't only apply to younger people and only if it was because of drugs or alcohol, what about a thirty year old that was hit by a bus full of strippers?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol. I suppose that wouldst feel like his time either. And I'd consider the 30 year old young to go regardless. I'm talking young people passing on as in too young to die of old age or have had a chance to fulfill their life yet. I also never said its only when they pass of drugs or alcohol... I mean, its sad because its something that could have been avoided but it is sort of at their fault. Obviously those who pass before their time not by their own hand is sad too, if not more. But if I wanted that to be the point of the post it would have just said "its sad when people die and its not by old age."
