or nemeses, like analysis - analyses

I think so, too. From what Latin I know, and nemesis is a Latin word adapted from Greek, it should be nemeses.

I agree, nemesises a funny word.

No. The '-i' ending only happens when you pluralize words with a '-us' ending. It's a Latin thing.

not definitively all the time though

I'm pretty sure it is all the time, but if you have any examples to prove me wrong, feel free to share them.

It irks me when people pluralize something by ending it with "-i" when it shouldn't be angry

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nemesis The two accepted forms are "nemeses" and "nemesi," so it is acceptable, and "nemesises" is not. Although it's also already been mentioned that the correct Latin plural would NOT be "nemesi," so I don't even know where that comes from.

Nemesi is a plural? Nice. Anyway I realize my mistake, my apologies to anyone who is annoyed by it.
