It's strange to think that you can't turn off your sense of hearing or touch. If you don't want to see something, you just close your eyes. If you don't want to smell or taste, breathe through your mouth. But there's not really a way to go temporarily deaf or numb, amirite?

Yes you can. What i do is i sit on that part of the body. Like, sit on my hand. After a while, it gets prickly.

What I was thinking of is if you were locked in a creepy warehouse with your hands tied behind your back and some strange man in a unitard kept making weird noises and pleasuring himself right in front of you. He couldn't really keep you from closing your eyes at your own will, but you do have to sit there and listen to his noises if your hands are tied and you can't plug your ears.
