+254 OK, so I understand that racism is an important issue, but Crayola creating a pack of 'multicultural crayons' in shades of brown and pink is a little bit too far, amirite?

maybe its so kids can draw realistic skin...

You can get those colours in other packs. I don't see why there needs to be a special pack for it.

No, it's great. Do you know how many people were pink when I was little?

I don't understand the link between racism and crayons. Maybe the artistic community complained about not being able to shade with them, so they came up with a solution. Maybe the learning curriculum in kendigarden has changed an you need to learn mire colors, baby's love crayons. Maybe the crayons arnt selling, so crayola has simply broadened the appeal to crayons to make more money, and compete with colored pencils.

Finally! I work in a Sunday school and all the kids always ask me for 'skin color'

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Racist, maybe, but definitely useful. I can never find the right color for a person's skin when I'm coloring things.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It is not racist. Racist is always wrongfully thrown around and that irks me. Racism is the belief you are superior people of different skin colors. Mentioning race=/=racist.

I think it's cool, it's always hard trying to color in a person when your only two options for skin tones are African charcoal or albino.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't care what they call it. I just want to be able to find the right color for someone's skin.
