You know you're a mistake if you're significantly older or younger than your other siblings, amirite?

If you're significantly older, it's because your parents were shocked by what an amazing child you were and knew that if they had any more children they would be nothing compared to you, but one day they said, "Oh, what the heck, let's have some imperfect kids." If you're significantly younger, it's because your parents were disappointed by how terrible your older siblings turned out to be and were too afraid to make more embarrassments called children, but one day they said, "Oh, what the heck, let's try to get this right one last time." What resulted was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to them.

But then it's more of a surprise than an accident ya know? If they already had some kids then it probably wasn't as big a deal than if the first child was unplanned.

Nope. I'm 7 years younger than my sister. My mom wanted one kid, my dad wanted more. It took him seven years to put his foot down and tell her that he'd divorce her if she didn't want to have another baby. Along came me.

I'm pretty sure in my family my older sister and youngest sister were both accidents. I know for sure my youngest was because there's a 10 year gap between her and the previous kid.

My neighbor is 10-12yrs younger than her 2 siblings. She's a spoiled brat so I don't really pity her. She has an iPhone and she's in 4th grade and she acts like she better than everyone because of it.

My oldest sister is 15 years older than me, my second oldest is 12 years older than me. But they are half sisters, with different dads. I was the only child my parents had together

I'm 13 years younger than my brother, and 8 years younger than my sister. We all have different dads and we were all planned. I think. I have another brother that was given up for adoption at birth because my mom was 17 when she had him. That was a mistake.

My brother and I are eight years apart. We were both planned. My mother just had medical issues that made it hard for her to get pregnant again.

My friend has siblings old enough to be her parents, and nephews and nieces that are older than her. She was definitely an accident. Also, OP, I think "accident" would be a better word than "mistake"

i have a friend thats 13 years younger than her sister. her parents were trying for the full 13 years. no accident just trouble. im 3 12 years younger than my older sister and 7 years older than my younger sister. my older sister is obviously 10 years older than her yeaaaah she was an accident.

I know I'm an accident even though my sister is only 2 years older than me. My Mom had a miscarriage between me and my sister and didn't want another child because she was scared it would die too, but accidently got pregnant with me instead...
