Yeah, I'm pretty sure he did. The last supper was a Passover dinner so he was definitely Jewish, and he was trying to get people to believe in god.

Jesus was a Jew. He came from the God the Jews worshipped, to create a new covenant with the whole world. It was more a V2 of Judaism than a totally new religion (although now with all the changes you can't really say the same)
