+356 It's really annoying when people try to redefine physical attributes as something else. For instance, the concept of inner beauty. I think thats called personality, amirite?

Personality/ inner beauty isn't a physical attribute, genius.

settle down.

True, but still, you wouldn't describe someone beautiful on the inside and refer to their intestines, would you?

That's what they *meant*. Beauty *is* a physical attribute, and people try to say people have "inner beauty" when they actually mean someone has a nice personality.

Someone can have an amazing personality (charismatic, funny, etc.) and still be a shitty person ...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No actually it depends on how you evaluate the personality. I think the personality includes more how a person deals with others, whether they lie or manipulate others,...etc. Being charismatic or funny is more of having good capabilities than having a good personality...

Respectfully, I disagree. I think what you are describing are ethics. Although ethical behavior can be reflected in someone's personality, I don't think that's what initially draws us to them. Take (some) celebrities for instance, they have a captivating quality about them that keeps people interested and wanting more. Does that necessarily mean they're good people? Similarly, people can have a strong sense of right and wrong, and live very virtuous lives, but not have likable personalities.
