+217 Bilingual Kids: Your Parents Talk to you in your native language, yet you reply in english. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

nah, I talk norwegian

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's funny how you assume someone who's bilingual knows English and some other language. What if they know Spanish and Italian?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because this is an English speaking website..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That might be the case... The world may never know...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Would you like me to post this in different languages, SO EVERYONE CAN GET THE JOKE

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I find it interesting that you capitalized the words kids, your, parents, and talk, yet you neglected to capitalize the word English.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Dear Mr. Grammar Nazi, I apologize, for I am lazy please show your annoyance to a different poster, thank you

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not annoyed at all and you don't need to be sorry. I was just trying to help by mentioning that your capitalization was off, but I really don't care. By the way, in your post, two of the words needed to be capitalized, but you capitalized five, meaning you did more work than you needed to (to address your "lazy" point).

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Okay good point, It's just I'm articled to press shift every time I start a new word

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But sometimes I switch between the two when it's easier to say something in the other language.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't Stress, I speak Portuguese and English, and Totally Agree with you, thanks

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think "bilingual kids" are the necessarily the people you should be addressing this to. You can be the only one in your family that's bilingual. I just don't agree with who you're addressing this to :P

by Anonymous 12 years ago

but it's implied to who they're talking about.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

how do you mean?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You Could, but what kid learns a Language by themselves?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Take it at school

by Anonymous 12 years ago

good point.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I also use my native language with my family when we are gossiping about someone within earshot.
