So i should hang out with my friends in public because that would be flaunting that i have friends?
also, it's easier for other friends to comment and enter the conversation. If the message is private the people do inbox each other.
P.S. I've come to the conclusion that you don't have many friend and are jealous of other people's friendships as a simple conversation between people bothers you so much and makes you judge people which might cause you to reach wrong conclusions about them. Try changing your attitude and make some friends and have fun.
P.P.S sorry about the lecture, i'm sort of a psychiatrist and i do this to everyone. I don't really intend to offend as i try to help, but sometime unknowingly i do
...I'm the one judging? Okay well first of all I don't mind when people write on walls. That's not what bugs me. I don't see a wall post and go "oh they're automatically an attention seeker." It's when it's continuous and about extremely stupid things. There's only like three people I know like that. If you were friends with these three people, you'd say the same. I wasn't bashing wall posting in general. That's kinda part of what Facebook is for.
And oh you're a psychiatrist? I totally believe you. It's not like everyone on the Internet is an "expert" on whatever they're talking about as well. Oh no. (in case you didnt catch the sarcasm, I'm not doubting you but I'm not going to go ahead and believe you either.)
Who are you to judge what's stupid and what isn't? maybe they have inside jokes, and it is possible to have more than 3 friends(i'm not saying having 3 is bad, there are time when 1 friend can be better than 10). And facebook, like you just said, is made for wall posts, there's nothing formal about it, so you can be yourself
This is weird because there are these two people all over my newsfeed for the past couple weeks, and I inadvertently know exactly how their relationship has been progressing, and right now I logged off of Facebook thinking that and this was on the top of the homepage.
I mean really? You just HAD to write on someone else's wall? You couldn't call them, text them, email them, speak to them in person, message them, chat them, or write them a freaking letter? You just have to proclaim your love to your boyfriend so that the rest of the world can see? Well newsflash! The rest of the world doesn't care!
Rant over. (And I realize not all wall posts are lovey dovey crap, but I rant about what I want to)
People can post on other peoples' walls all they want. What bothers the fuck out of me is when the person whose wall they posted on replies by posting on the original person's wall. Then they do it back and forth.
MOTHERFUCKERS YOU CAN COMMENT ON THE ORIGINAL WALL POST.
I totally agree. That is the worst part and I think I was trying to say that but I wrote this when I was like 12 and I'm not really sure why it got re-homepaged and its kind of embarrassing and I don't know why I'm telling you this
Some people can't text all day because of their cell plan, and it's really none of your business how they communicate (sure, you're allowed to have an opinion about it, but the way you worded this post makes it sound like you're trying to control them). It if pisses you off that much, just block their posts.
??? I'm sorry for sharing how I feel? Also, I'm not pissed off, sorry if I came across that way, I was just trying to help you understand how I viewed the post.
It might be because I have a prepaid plan on my phone, and my parents aren't willing to pay for another one, so I might've taken my frustration about that one you. I apologize for that.
"If it pissed you off don't comment on it," but wall posts piss you off and you can comment on that? Seriously? Amirite's for sharing opinions, just like you did.
That's all one of my friends does, and when I ask why she doesn't just text me, she just comes up with one of those long excuses that basically says "I want people to believe I have friends because I care so much about what they think."
well how about for those who can't text, like who aren't in the same country or something? facebook's pretty handy for them. And facebook's changed a lot since it was first created and for those who have been there from the beginning, maybe they just got used to using the ''wall to wall'' instead of ''comment on wall post'' thing.
But how else am I supposed to inadvertently let everyone know how awesome and popular I am?
Writing on someone's wall is free :/
So is sending them a Facebook message. They just want everyone else to see how great they are and how they're such good friends.

Again... It's not the general people of Facebook..... It's the people who overdo it... Not you and your little friends..
This is weird because there are these two people all over my newsfeed for the past couple weeks, and I inadvertently know exactly how their relationship has been progressing, and right now I logged off of Facebook thinking that and this was on the top of the homepage.
Its especially annoying when they're posting on each others wall off their phone and you KNOW they have each others phone numbers.

Okay. You looked into this post entirely too much.... You're allowed l have an opinion on it, but if it pissed you off then don't comment on it....
??? I'm sorry for sharing how I feel? Also, I'm not pissed off, sorry if I came across that way, I was just trying to help you understand how I viewed the post.
I guess your comment just made it seem like you were genuinely offended and that I killed your parents or something. Ha
It might be because I have a prepaid plan on my phone, and my parents aren't willing to pay for another one, so I might've taken my frustration about that one you. I apologize for that.
Hahah I understand now.. It must be hard being you
"If it pissed you off don't comment on it," but wall posts piss you off and you can comment on that? Seriously? Amirite's for sharing opinions, just like you did.
Clearly you didn't read the comment above mine, because then you would have understood my comment back to him....
WHY WOULD I NOT READ HIS COMMENT
Your stupidity implies that you didn't

Half of them DO have cell phones.
