17 sounded a lot older when you were 9, amirite?

21 seemed a LOT older when I was 17. :/

It really did. Now my 17 year old friends seem so young. They cant drink,vote, gamble or drive. Thats no life :D 18 ftw.

I'm 20 now and 18 seems SO young. My first year on my own, first year of university... It seems like we always feel so much older after only a few years.

Ugh I teach an elementary school choir and all the kids are like 7-9...but they treat me like they would any other teacher. I expected that when they found out I was 17 they'd be like wow ok you're NOT an adult then but they just found it normal, cuz 17 is so old to them...makes me feel ANCIENT.

Still seems fairly old to me... but I suppose it's a matter of perspective. Getting a driver's permit and lenience, plus in some ways (at least in my state) you're considered an adult. Then again I'm just a Freshman. wary

I think it depends in the context that you know them. I'm 16 and I'm friends with 19 year olds because they go to my high school, and they're just older. But if I think about a 19 year old in college or at work, it feels like they're way older than me. It's also the adolescent age difference. Two or three years feels like a lot right now, but the difference between 44 and 47 isn't a big deal at all, because you change much slower when you're older.

I remember how scary high school seemed, and the first week of freshman year was terrifying. It's so normal now. I'm scared for college after next year, but I know that soon it will be so average and mundane.

Middle school sucked. High school can be shitty too, but it's a million times better. All the bitches are less bitchy, and the idiots are less stupid. I can't wait for college.
