We were seven or eight, I think, and she insisted it would be so much fun if I came and talked about what a great time we would have together. But when we got there one of the adults gave her a handful of prize tokens because apparently you get rewarded for bringing a friend, and then she just ignored me for the rest of the day. We weren't really friends after that.

Don't you mean a friend who's Christian? Because my Muslim friend would never try to get me to go to church.

only one friend...her religion is this semi-crazy fundamentalist thing that a lot of people consider a cult. i went with her once to be polite, but it was pretty weird, so i stuck to my own religion after that.
