+412 Sleep is strange; as in it's weird that humans require about 1/3 of our day to be spent unconcious in order to function, amirite?

I'm not arguing with you or anything, but I thought this was pretty interesting... http://www.sleepfoundation.org/article/how-sleep-works/how-much-sleep-do-we-really-need

WOAH. Way too many words there.

tl;dr : The hours of sleep for a person to function varies from person to person.

I always found it crazy if you go so long without sleep you die. I mean I guess it makes sense, but it's strange if you think of it.

It's only about as interesting as a mobile needing to be charged 1 night out of every 3. It's just illogical to be otherwise, 0/3 charge? Not charging ever, and still functioning?

I agree with foodle's reasoning, what's strange about most things needing to be "charged" in order to work?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

well if you think about it, food is like our fuel. and we eat all the time. so if you changed a cell phone battery every day it wouldn't need to be charged, would it? and yet humans need to refuel AND recharge.
