I think it's stupid that a lot of people I know think that online dating, or even just meeting friends online, is weird and creepy. I feel more free to be myself online rather than in person (I can be quite shy) and the whole physical appearance factor isn't as important. But yes, I agree, all the guys at my school suck.

People tend to be more honest online too because they don't have the pressure of their social groups involved or their family etc... people who have influence no longer are a factor. There is a lot more diversity on the net too, if everyone in your area are followers and are all carbon copies of each other and are all into the same shit... it's easier to find genuine people online that break the mold or at least are a leaps away from what you are tired of and used to.
