I agree. Girls pants are so inconsistent. I own size 00 pants and size 4 pants and both of them fit me comfortably. They should have standard measurements.

Some girls pants come in a waste size like boys pants but the leg length only comes in short, regular or long.

I don't know why this has gotten such a low score. The guys way make TONS more sense. My old jeans were a size 1 short, but they became to small. I now have a size 1 short in a different brand, and they fit perfectly. Guys pants are at least consistent!

Probably inconsistent because a girl wouldn't like the idea of wearing that "large" size which is actually her real size...a size 8 just sounds A LOT better than a double digit.

Well, that and the sizes keep changing to fit the average size of the individual...Ever notice how European sizes are WAY smaller? Yeah, that's because people get fatter and so clothing companies over time have changed pant sizes to make people feel like they're the same size even if they're really buying bigger pants.
