+179 Teen pregnancy wouldn't be such a huge deal if teens that were going to have sex actually loved eachother and had a plan for how they would take care of a baby, amirite?

Yeah, you have a good point but the fact that I still don't think most teens would be able to support a baby financially still makes it a sticky situation, love or not because I feel that most teenagers can't even support themselves yet.

It would still be a big deal - two fifteen year old parents who love each other aren't more competent than two fifteen year old parents who don't love each other. And most forethought baby plans - how they intend to pay for everything, if both parents are going to go back to school/uni/work, who is going to look after the baby, medical issues, financial issues - are made soon after they discover the girl is pregnant.

And if they had the means to financially support it.

Otherwise, they might get rid of you.

I feel like teenagers are not emotionally mature enough to raise a child.

they honestly aren't. i don't mean this as a generalization, but as a standard. i don't think that people are mature enough until their mid-twenties.
