You'd rather be a happy idiot than a miserable genius, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
well if your oh so smart, i think you could figure out how to be happy
by Anonymous12 years ago
Wow. Am I really the only one who is astounded at how this score is positive?
by Anonymous12 years ago
The problem with this is that happiness changes. If you were a happy idiot, you won't always be happy, but chances are you'll always be an idiot.

But idiocy dwells ignorance, and ignorance is bliss.

(Chauncy Pickles): But is it really bliss? It might be for a while, but in most cases no matter how stupid you are you'll still catch on.
by Anonymous12 years ago
But once begin to catch on, you progress from idiocy to some higher semblance of intelligence. I'm not saying you will immediately become a genius after learning one thing while being an idiot for so long, but you would still be less of an idiot.

(Chauncy Pickles): Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I just don't think I could tolerate knowing I picked to be stupid. But I guess if I was ignorant of that I wouldn't know or care... this is just one huge mindfucking.

Definitely. I would much rather be happy, even if it means I'm an idiot.

Unfortunately, miserable geniuses make up most of the geniuses in this world...unhappiness is a common trait of the intelligent.
