-113 Providing you're relatively polite about it, people shouldn't be offended when you tell them they're fat, ugly, and destined for a short, miserable life, amirite?

I don't agree with ugly, but for the rest, it's their fault. If they get offended, it's only because they know it's true. It might give them incentive to change.

Say someone's fat entirely by choice. Why should anyone insult them for that? It's their goddamn choice. If you actually want to help, convince them to exercise and eat healthily, but don't insult them.

Saying that they're fat isn't an insult, it's a fact. Obviously don't look down on them for it, but I never said anything about insulting them. That's rude in any context.

Being fat has a stigma attached to it, though. People know if they are fat and don't need to be reminded of it. If you tell someone they're fat, you mean to make them feel bad. (I'm using the generic you here. I'm not implying that you, swimlax, would do this.)

I guess that's true in most cases.

Im really sorry to say this but.....I've seen animals poo that looks better than you, and you're definatly not thin, it would probably be best for everyone else if you never went anywhere public. Now I hope you're not unhappy for your few remaning sad years since I've informed you so politely.

There is a way to word it in order to be more than just relatively polite someone might be concerned about his/her friend who's eating habits are out of control or a friend who's not taking care of himself/herself I'm wondering now if this amirite post is a song lyric since it's posted under the topic of music o.o

I mean, you could try to suggest to someone who is overweight that they find some way of working out, of developing an incentive to burn calories. For some people, there may not be any time to do so, but for others, a consistent exercise schedule may be really beneficial to them. and btw it's never polite to say someone is ugly.
