+69 In Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, all the loyal soldiers of Rohan were banished, so when Gandalf brings the king back, shouldn't they banish all the soldiers that were left in Rohan? amirite?

I'm not going to lie, the only thing I remember about LOTR is "YOU SHALL NOT PASS"

Actually, the soldiers were not banished. Eomer was banished, and his group of men (his eored, as the Rohirrim would say) decided to follow him. So there were definitely loyal soldiers left in Rohan--they simply did not choose to leave with Eomer because they were not under his direct command.

"My company are those loyal to Rohan, and for that, we are banished."- Eomer

no... Those were the ones that served their king no questions asked... Sometimes you need mindless people to fight for you.
