+265 It seems weird that the handicap parking spaces are in the front and the handicap bathroom stalls are in the back, amirite?

I hate to be that person, but I feel like I have to say this: The point of handicapped stalls is so that wheelchairs can fit in them, so the location doesn't really matter. Parking spaces, however, are mostly for people with canes or short-of-breath problems where they shouldn't walk very far all at one time. Again, I hate to be that person, but that was gonna kill me.

I was just saying it was weird, because even though the point of a handicap bathroom is for a wheelchair to be able to fit in there, it seems like they should also be in the front of the restroom. Especially in really big ones like in truck stops, airports, and malls, where it's a long strip of bathrooms, so the person in the wheelchair has to wheel all the way down to the end to be able to get into one of the bathrooms where they can fit. And I'm going to have to disagree with you on handicap parking spaces being mostly for people with canes or people who get "short-of-breath." The reason a lot of handicap spaces have those strips inbetween them where it's hashed is so the doors can open up extra wide and a ramp can come down, like for people in wheelchairs. I'm pretty sure it's more likely to get handicap allowance for being in a wheelchair than for being short of breath.
