An unmotivated intellectual will sit in his study ready 500 year old books by himself for his whole life, never sharing his knowledge or wisdom. A motivated idiot will get out and interact in the world, and better himself. I'd rather be a motivated idiot

No, if someone tries hard and works hard they'll usually make a living, even if they aren't insanely clever. Like Bill Gates said, 'my friend passed all his classes and I failed a few. Now he works for microsoft and I own it.'
