unless the plot calls for them to have a pimple, in which case, the pimple isn't noticeable.

Because celebrities have access to great skin care products and pour cleansing facials. They don't get pimples!

Unless a character is supposed to be like that, then they have a face full of acne. No characters have just a couple pimples like real teenagers.

Because its not really attractive, and most people watching tv want to see attractive looking boys or girls on a show. Plus its not necessary unless the character calls for it.

In a lot of shows where the characters are in high school, the actors and actresses are in their 20s and 30s. Also, a lot of the nerd on TV have acne.

British TV shows... Skins and Misfits and Inbetweeners... usually have acne.
