+286 The state didn't really make their case in the Casey Anthony trial. They don't know how Caylee died, whether it was an accident or premeditatied, or even if Casey's father was involved. For something with the death penalty on the line, you'd want to be absolute certain of what really happened, and the truth is we just don't, amirite?

True, but then they should have gone for a lesser sentence, like jail time, so that way she would have been punished somehow instead of getting off scot-free.
