+697 Students say that an 89 is the worst grade to receive on a test. That's funny. I always pictured 0 being a pretty bad grade, amirite?

Not students in BC! That's an A :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, but with an 89 you put in such hard work, and were so close to an A. With a 0, you were probably expecting it.

Getting a 0 would be legendary! The worst would be getting a 59 (at least in places where 60 is a pass)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

who says that? honestly, i would much rather a one than a zero, but two would be worse than zero. dunno why, it just feels like it

89% is the worst to get as a term grade that doesn't round up IMO but on tests it doesn't really matter to me. The worst score I've ever gotten was an 11%, on the percentages test in 5th grade math.

I'd rather a 0 than an 89. I hate 89s.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why? Is a 0 what you got on your punctuation tests?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Is this because I didn't put the numbers in quotation marks? If so, I simply chose not to do it because I thought it looked better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You said, "students say that," thus quotations wouldn't be needed. Anon may have been saying it should be written, "That's funny, I always..." However, I think this is definitely one of the least grammatically fucked up posts.

No, what I think is that the anon was ranting about my lack of quotation marks around each of the NUMBERS. Like, I probably should have put "0" and "89" in quotation marks, but I just think that it looks ugly. Still, though, I agree that it is no big whoop.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hmm... I don't know if it would even be needed for that either.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, you have to be pretty smart to get EVERY question wrong. (In most cases) And 99 is the worst grade, because then you were thatclose to perfect.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Especially when you don't know what you got wrong. If you get an 89, you knew there was material that you should have covered, but with a 99, you think you got a 100 and are really aggravated.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

On every test my teacher would offer us a chance to get 100 if we get every single question wrong. It's pretty hard to get a 0.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I once got a 2% on a math test, but that was because the teacher felt sorry for how stupid I was.
