+63 If there really was a god, he should perform some damn miracles now worldwide. Not thousands of years ago and confined to a small area in the Middle East, amirite?

He gave us free will for a reason...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Free will doesn't exist

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You are correct. I am being forced to comment right now.

Even though I don't believe there is a god, or more specifically, the Christian God (not sure how to put that), your comment was stupid. No, I don't beleive that "He gave us free will", but that does't mean free will doesn't exist!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You are ignorant of how the brain works

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well I think I'm right. Besides, if I am acting stupid (I don't think I am), it IS 4 in the morning.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He does perform miracles worldwide. Every single day.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No "He" doesn't. People just give "Him" credit for nothing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe we shouldn't create problems and then they wouldn't need to be fixed.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yuhp, cuz we totes made up diseases and natural disasters just to fuck with each other. I'm part of a secret global organization that performs these kinds of tasks. You got us.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

aids was started by some idiot. Some natural disasters have been caused by global warming, which is our fault.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was under the impression that AIDS was a jungle disease that spread to humans when the area around it was developed. And climate change may have made those disasters worse but it didn't cause them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I heard this one story that this guy ate a monkey that had aids, and he got it, then he had sex with his wife, etc etc etc.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not true. One man having sex would not cause AIDS to be anywhere near as wide spread as it is today

Mircales happen everyday, you just don't hear about them on Fox News. Go speak to your Averge Joe and ask him if he's ever experienced a miracle or knows of one, many will have a story for you.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, because your average Joe in the USA is a christian. Go speak to your average Joe in countries where the society in general is more intelligent, such as Sweden and New Zealand, and you will get different responses.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The average Yoël.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, something coincidental will happen and they will give "God" all the credit.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Call it a coincidence, call it a miracle, to each his own.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You couldn't possibly know what's happening in the lives of every individual worldwide. You wouldn't know who is experiencing a miracle somewhere in this large world.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think I speak for all atheists when I say I will convert the second any kind of big miracle happens that can't otherwise be explained.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You should watch a film called Finger of God. The miracles and stories in that film COULD be fake, but I don't think they are. I don't see why they would be, and the people in the film are very honest. See it and you'll probably understand what I mean. It's an amazing film. :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Maybe I will, God knows I have enough time to watch movies nowadays. Pun most certainly intended. But I still don't see why he sent an angle to ask his prophets if they wanted their drinks freshened 3,000 years ago but doesn't do anything now...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're right, Jesus told us that we will be able to perform miracles even greater than the miracles he did. A big part of the film is about how God can perform miracles through any christian, if they just go out and do God's will. But very few people actually do that. :/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Technically, there weren't that many people around the world at the time (as in, the majority of more advanced cultures were in the Middle East) and it was their responsibility to spread the religion given to them through setting a good example and just telling people about it... It didn't work out that way, obviously, but religion did spread regardless. And there are miracles everywhere. I agree with that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think the mideast still needs a miracle more than anyone

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We caused most of the problems and a lot people today don't even believe in God or have just completely disregarded Him and don't care anymore, so we don't really deserve any miracles although there are some people who have experienced them.
