It came out on my friend's sixteenth birthday, but she didn't go to the premiere.

It actually came out on my friend's seventeenth birthday (the coming of age for wizards, don't forget). Too bad she hates Harry Potter.

Someone in my theater said it did, then had everyone sing happy birthday to them.

It came out on my birthday, but I'm 16 now...

My birthday was yesterday. So it came out on the last full day I was seventeen. So it pretty much did mark the end of my childhood.

My friend was born at around 3am on that Friday. So when she watched the midnight premeir it actually ended with her childhood.
