+95 Most things you find on the internet about pregnancy are just to promote abstinence. Pre-cum rarely causes pregnancy. It is difficult to get a girl pregnant unless you have sex at the right time and with no protection. That doesn't mean it's impossible to get a girl pregnant unless you have the right circumstances, it's just highly improbable, amirite?

you may be right, but i'd hate to be that "highly improbable" girl!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

so true, but I'm sick of searching for what the real chances of pregnancy are and finding nothing but fake stories about millions of people getting pregnant using eight contraceptives at once. It's ridiculous!

why not just go with "better safe than sorry"?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Never said contraceptives aren't the right thing to do :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not that tough to use a condem

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Where did i say it was?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Your post made it sound like you wouldnt use one. why wouldnt you?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, my post makes it sound like the internet say that they don't work when they obviously do. And that even if you don't use one, it's still difficult to get pregnant.

Well how is a 16 year old kid, who doesn't have a license, supposed to get a condom? That's how teenage pregnancies come about, the teens can't get the materials they need.

Ask an older friend for a ride. Or you can walk. I've walked a few miles for condoms. Or ask your parents for birth control. Or, if you can't get contraceptives at all, don't have sex. I hate when people claim that since they can't easily get contraceptives it's not their fault they're not having safe sex. It is their fault, no matter how you phrase it.

What teenager wants to ask their parents for condoms/birth control? They'd be too afraid. And not every teenager lives that close to a CVS, etc. And you can't just say, don't have sex. Teenagers give into pressure and temptations. It can't be helped.

I'm asking for birth control for my birthday. I'll have been in a relationship for almost two years at that point, and I know my parents will probably understand. If other teens have similar circumstances their parents probably will too. Besides, if you're not mature enough to ask then you're probably not on a level where you should be having sex. Also, I have sexually active friends who live out in the middle of no where, and they manage to get condoms too. It's not that hard if you ask around. There really is no excuse for having unprotected sex.

while that sounds good in theory, not everyone's parents would get their kids birth control. I have to go to a confidential sexual health clinic to get mine

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I never said that was the only way. I said it was an option. I also stated that I've walked a few miles to reach a convenience store for condoms, and I have friends who either get rides from older friends or just ask their friends to give them some. Asking your parents is nice in theory, and I'm sure it does work for a lot of people, but for those who it doesn't, there are other methods possible to prevent conception.

If you're too young to find a way to get birth control then you're too young for sex.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Saying that is all well and good, but the fact of the matter is, that's not gonna stop teenagers from having unprotected sex.

Are you serious? My high school was practically throwing them at us. They even had this box full of them set up in front of the office with a sign inviting us to take as many as we needed. Of course, people blew them up into balloons and swatted them around the hallway.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

LOL wish I was at YOUR high school xD. My high school doesn't do any of that shit

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Is your school really big on abstinence? Schools that are usually have a higher rate of unprotected sex.

Online free clinics in your area will deliver free condoms as long as you meet the criteria. My friend once got a bunch so we could fill them with water and throw them at each other.
