+427 Your room doesn't match perfectly like in the calatogs. Amirite?

I always wanted my room to look like those themed rooms in the catalogues they gave out at the Home Depot (Like, the Mikey Mouse room, or the Tinkerbell room, or the Disney Princess Room)! And then, when I got a bit older, I swooned over the rooms in the PBteen catalogues. But now, I dont even bother matching stuff so I'm like "Hey, this is cool! I don't know where I'd put it and it doesn't really work with everything else in my room, but why not?" I like how it looks, though :)

My room is tiny and draped in layers of stuff. Between my bed, my chair, and my dog's kennel I've only got about two feet of floor space. I have fuzzy dice hanging off my bed post next to my oral interp medal, pictures and collages all over the walls, books stacked waist-high in the corners. The tattered remains of a plastic flower are still taped to my door frame, a memento from a play I was in six years ago. My window has sticky bats on it from last Halloween and I have a large chunk of quartz and a glass star hanging from my ceiling. In short, it's bright, it's colorful, and it would make any professional decorator hyperventilate.

When I was a kid, my room looked like it came out of a magazine. Literally everything matched. Now... Not so much. My furniture all matches (Yay IKEA), but other than that it's kind of a disaster. I have handmade quilts and pillows from my gran, posters and pictures covering almost every bit of wall space, and all sorts of weird little sculptures on my desk and book shelves. And then the wall behind the bed has this huge abstract tree I painted last year. My mom says it looks like I have multiple personalities -.-
