Waiters/ waitresses should ask the customers if they want a lemon wedge on the side of the rim of the glass of water. Not all of us like lemon in our water, amirite?

Or...you could tell her you don't want lemon, genius. Fast food places don't ask you if you don't want salt on your fries.

Instead of them having to ask that a thousand times, just politely say you do not want a lemon.

Your life sounds so hard.

I hate it when they do that and I don't have a plate or napkin to put my lemon wedge on and nobody else wants an extra.
