+213 What made the 90's great was that it was the last decade where it wasn't just about the money. Of course, all decades had money as an incentive, but it wasn't the only thing important to people and companies like the last decade, amirite?

How would you know that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

haha you told me this earlier

You were 6 when the 90s ended. Of course you don't think it was about money, you were fucking six! I can kind of see where you're coming from because generally people were more secure in their finances in general, so there was less of a worry, but I think this is way too broad of a statement to make.

You weren't even born when Lincoln was president, yet you can still have an opinion about those times? That's so stupid when people talk up a generation and someone snaps back with "You weren't even alive then!"

Except when I'm commenting on something from the 19th century, I'm trusting my facts from a book. They're generally something that can be proven or at least noted by a wide range of people. First of all, what you're saying can't really be proven. Second of all, I'm guessing you just came up with this thought yourself, since we're not far enough removed from the 90s to have good perspective on it.

"I'm guessing you just came up with this thought yourself" Last time I checked, isn't that what an opinion is? Why do I have to prove anything anyways? This sight is about opinions? If we posted facts, it's be boring and easy to get a homepage. If I think something is true, then I post it. Whether or not I can support my opinion is none of your concern, just the fact that I have it, and whether or not you agree, is all that matters.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's valid and doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Sure, you can post your opinion, but I can say why your opinion is invalid. And that's what I just did.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're right, but you didn't comment on why you thought it was wrong, you were trying to validate why I had my opinion. That's different. If someone on this sight posts something stupid like "I love candy, amirite?" I don't have to reply with "Unable to validate". That's, once again, just stupid. I can argue about whether it is wrong or right, but trying to get my justification is unneeded, especially in a topic such as this where opinion is completely out of personal experience..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I guess I'm saying you shouldn't make such a broad statement like this with just personal experience when you were in Kindergarten.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like I said, you don't need to know whether it was from me living 6 six years in that time, or whether I heard stories, or I'm just guessing. You just need to agree or disagree with me.

We can't have a discussion on the strength of your ethical proof and whether or not that allows you to make a valid assessment of the situation?

The point of the internet is to mostly remain anonymous ;)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's exactly why the Internet was created!
