-64 Things that are "organic" are automatically a turn off, because you already know they're more expensive, and probably the same as the product thats not organic and 40 cents cheaper, amirite?

I don't really care if something's organic or not. I do, however, like buying local things, and many local things here just happen to be organic.

I hate organic stuff. I'm probably going to spend more buying organic than treatment for any cancer GM food might give me. It doesn't even make biological sense for GM food to be harmful. Most of it is destroyed in stomach acid, and what's left is pretty much the same as organic stuff, just a smaller percentage of each animal/plant. The best part is, you can still use pesticides on organic food, just not the stuff that kills them, so it's just inferior herbicides and pesticides. I don't know if they get destroyed in my stomach any more than the ones GM crops are resistant to, so until there's definitive proof, I'm not buying organic.

You either pay for organic stuff now, or medical bills later.

There is no proof organic food is any better for you, or any more nutritious. Organic farmers also still use pesticides, they just don't use synthetic ones. Many of the pesticides they use are more harmful to people and the environment than the synthetic ones. Many of the companies that sell organic food are large corporations that only do so because they know they can get way more money for it.

thats true, but thats why you do research. which i know no one does, and thats really sad actually. the food we put in our bodies is.. everything. it affects our mental and physical health. I live in Oregon so i'm fortunate to be able to access many farms and get fresh food that has not at all been affected chemically.

I live in Oregon too! I just have a problem with people who go to whole foods and pay for food they just assume is better for them, when really they just want to make it seem like they're better than you. Once I buy a house I'm gonna grow all kinds of fruits, veggies, and herbs, and just not worry about what other people are doing to my food.

There have been a lot of studies done showing that organic doesn't really make a difference. But it's better to buy local to stimulate the local economy
