No, you don't. Its just for the flavour. If you were to inhale cigar smoke you would cough it up 19 out of 20 times, guaranteed.

Eh. I think anyone who smokes anything is destroying themselves, no matter what they're smoking. Of course, some things are acceptable like flavored molases or ham. I like smoked ham. :]

I have never thought of cigarette smokers as "worthless, poor people who destroy their lives," neither have I heard anyone talking about them that way.

I think it's because cigarettes are addicting and cigars aren't. If you see someone smoking a cigarette, you can basically assume that he/she does it regularly, and you know it's bad for you, so you conclude that the person is destroying his/her health. When you see a person smoke a cigar, you don't know how often they do it because it's not addicting, so it might be their first time for all you know. Then, you probably conclude that they haven't harmed themselves as much as cigarette smokers.
