+95 Valentines day is the shit, American version of Love actually, amirite?

It took me longer than I'm proud of to realize that you were talking about Valentine's day the movie, not the federal holiday. In which case: You are totally right. Love Actually was a brilliant movie.

Capitalization sure helps determine the meaning of the post, amirite?

Valentine's day would still be capitalized cause it's considered a commercial holiday. Like Independence day or St Patricks day. So in this case, capitalization does nothing.

No, it's not. Valentines Day is an American movie about a bunch of people on Valentines day in Los Angeles, CA while Love Actually is set around Christmas time in London, England. I don't think they can really be compared other than the fact that they're romantic and kind of funny. But that's just my opinion, man.

Harry Potter vs Twilight, anyone?

I thought the comparison was to do with the fact that they both show the stories of a lot of different relationships, all meshed together into one movie. But I agree that they have a lot of differences, and are both great movies in their own rite.

They are both large, ensemble films that create interconnected story lines centered around a popular holiday that has the potential to bring out both the best and the worst in people. I actually find them very similar, though I respect your opinion, because they do take it in relatively different directions and comparisons can lead to pointless fighting. I didn't mind Valentine's Day, but Love Actually is one of my favorite movies of all time.

This was worded so badly.

I thought you were saying "Valentine's Day is the shit," like it's an awesome movie.
