Personally, it depends on how serious the offense was, something like public nudity at 18 or peeing in public mark you as a sex offender too, those people are marked for the rest of their lives, however, serious crimes should be available to the public, I believe people deserve to know who they are residing near or working with when it comes to sex offenses.

The more serious ones are for life, but for something like what you said it would only be for 10 years, if at all. The list is to help police when a crime is committed, not to allow citizens to take matters into their own hands.
