+172 Republicans can't act like it's only the Democrats who wastefully spend when they're the ones who, during the Clinton Years, spent millions investigating a blow job. Amirite?

I think a president getting impeached is not a waste of money...

Yeah if a guy has done something worthy of impeachment, be it a "fun time in the mouth" or otherwise, it's worth investigating.

Will people shut the heck up? I'm tired of all of this "Conservatives this", "Republicans that". Everybody does stupid stuff, it's not limited to one political party. I'm sick of all the negativity, and I'm a democrat for pete's sake! Stop being rude to the Republicans, and acting like they're the ones who are hypocrites, and they're the only ones who are doin' stuff wrong and blaming other people. I guarantee for every hypocritical, rude, wasteful, lying republican, there is one democrat doin' the same stuff. It's disgusting how we're all just yelling at each other and pointing fingers, instead of fixing stuff and working together. This is why our country has so much turmoil. But you're right, Republicans can't say only Democrats wastefully spend money, any more than Democrats can say that Republicans wastefully spend money. Bunch of hypocrites. Get off of your pedestals and stop acting like victims.

I don't think we should have parties at all. They take away the powers of the individuals and even the states. It isn't any longer about satisfying all of the states' needs, it is about appeasing the party of that state. Even worse, it seems like half of the time they are disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.

That's probably true. No one wants to vote someone in as president or for elected office because they're a good choice anymore, it all has to do with what party they're in. There's almost no crossing of party lines, or working together. People change their opinions just to get nominated or voted in. I almost feel like we shouldn't have them either, if only because they don't fully describe people's political beliefs. We should almost just have people write down all of their intentions and stances, without a party, because the party creates bias. Oh I like this guy/lady, he/she has a good plan, but ohp he/she's not in my party so I'm gonna vote for the other guy. They just don't seem to do anything anymore. They're just another division that get's in the way of government efficiency.

One of my favorite theories on government ... the Theory of Ratchet Spending. 1 - PartyA increases spending/taxes. 2 - PartyB gets in to office on the promise of reducing spending/taxes. 3 - PartyB increases spending/taxes. 4 - PartyA gets in to office on the promise of reducing spending/taxes. 5 - Goto 1
