my SO?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm assuming that means "significant other." Took me a while to figure it out too. :$

I though it was suppose to be son in capital letters and they just forgot the N but ^^^^^ makes much more sense

What if I don't have AIDS?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Is SO really a thing? This would've made SO much more sense had you used significant other

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Only if you don't tell them with the intention of them dying, in my opinion... But I'm kinda not sure. And obviously they'd have to get it from you, and then die from it. That wouldn't always happen.

Even though your words are not completely correct in the most technical sense, I understand what you mean and agree. There was an episode of this show, Degrassi, where this character had sex with a girl (one of the main characters and yes, he wore protection). Turns out he had AIDS, but didn't tell her. When she found out, she confronted him and demanded to know why he didn't tell her and the shithead's response was "Because you didn't ask" and you know the WORST part? The episode was written so that it took HIS side and had the girl wond up feeling guilty because she had assumed he had AIDS through promiscuity, but it was because his mother had it during pregnancy and passed it on to him. BULL. SHIT! It was HIS responsibility to tell her 100%, and by not telling her and having sex with her PROTECTED OR NOT, he knowingly exposed her to a potentially fatal disease without her at least knowing the risk. That's absolutely unacceptable. I dispised this episode.

AGH that pissed me off too. Its like, if you've got a cold and someone asks for a sip of your drink, its only polite to tell them that you're sick so they could risk getting sick too if they drink after you. I mean I know thats sort of a weak analogy, but if you've got an STD don't expose others to it without them knowing.
